NOTE: All of the programming listed below is for Youth ages 6-18 and programs and services run year round.
This program acts as an intervention and assists learners in developing necessary social and professional skills to become positive and productive citizens of the community. Learners develop leadership skills and learn to manage negative behaviors, while developing positive coping skills. Positive peer interaction is stressed through team sports. These sports include basketball, soccer, flag football, volleyball and lacrosse. A variety of coaches and peers will guide learners in developing their athletic skills using a mentor/mentee model.
Participants form teams and take part in organized gaming competitions online and with each other. Using the latest gaming consoles, learners develop and improve on problem- solving, coaching, mentoring, team building and communication skills.
